David S. Francazio
David Francazio is the most recent addition to McKinnon & Harwood, LLC. He joins the firm following a judicial clerkship at the Rhode Island Superior Court, where he drafted court decisions in numerous cases and gained a rare perspective into the inner workings of trial proceedings. Some of the cases for which Mr. Francazio drafted judicial decisions include a post-conviction relief case involving newly discovered evidence in a thirty-three-year-old murder, litigation regarding the scope of under-insured motorist coverage, as well as the award of attorneys’ fees in the wake of a successful anti-SLAPP suit. Mr. Francazio earned his law degree from Duke University School of Law on the prestigious Dean’s Scholarship. There, he was president of the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund as well as a member of the Mock Trial Board. During law school, he also worked with the Innocence Project to help exonerate individuals who have been wrongfully convicted.

Mr. Francazio’s practice encompasses personal injury, medical malpractice, criminal defense and divorce law. He works closely with clients to resolve cases through either negotiated settlement or a verdict at trial. He is admitted to practice in Rhode Island and Massachusetts and has also tried matters in federal court.
